I believe good vs evil is not simply angels vs demons, black and white, this or that...blah, blah, too much cliche. It's a gray area (could be a whole range of colors). It's not about good vs evil (vs even more evil or vs everyone like the shadow people in the back). It's everyone for themselves. Its not about who is wrong or who is right. I think it has more to do with different beliefs (just like those from different species here), even if may be the "wrong" thing in some one else's eyes. The middle ground is the most dangerous battle ground (the hazy gray area) between good and evil. It's uncertainly. Is where you don't know who's "with you" or "against you" (symbolized by the suspicious squints toward each other). The conflict is not just between species, it's within the group of species too. The good aren't so innocent and the evil aren't as wicked. And whether you're "good" or "bad", there are inner struggles (obviously) that they all have (symbolized by the text) regardless of what species/ethnicity/creed. you belong to. I don't think the battle between "good vs evil" will ever end unless one side surrenders to the other (which we know it may never happen; symbolized by not "shaking hands" with the enemy) or they try to live together, not so much in peace but I guess that's how the world revolves.
SORRY ABOUT THE SIZE!
Holy guacamole! I wasn't planning on entering the contest AT ALL. It's my first contest ever in the history of my life. I hate contests (they make me feel crappy). But mom kinda ticked me off/make me think about how very little confidence I have in my work and how I NEVER stick to one thing till the end (she's right and I hate it so much). So, with that in mind, I entered this but I haven't told her about it. It was a spur of the moment thing and I only had 4 days to work on this
so sorry about proportions/angles. I also wanted to do it as an accomplishment for myself. This May is my character's 11th anniversary so I did this to "celebrate" and to try to step out of my little sheltered box and put myself out there (it's my longest kept secret). I don't expect to win anyways but I felt I had to do this to kick my rear into high gear. Thanks for swinging by anyway. I read the rules and I hope I didn't break any of them.
Oh, and I know this doesn't have a watermark because it against contest rules but PLEASE, please, please, don't steal my characters/picture. Respect my work. I've worked really hard on them.
